Aurora

Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June 1996 in Stavanger Norway. The name she is most commonly used for her professional work is Aurora and sometimes stylized with the letters in uppercase as AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves is released in May of 2015 by Decca Records. It has received a lot of praise from blogs and the press. Half the World Away - by the Oasis is a cover for John Lewis' Christmas ad as well as Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole is already two of the most notable covers the singer has created. Katy Perry's support for the song Runaway in a blog post gave the artist some additional appreciation. Celebrate the special occasion. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was discovering a piano in her loft and being amazed by the music. Parents May-Britt along with Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to take up music not as an occupation or pastime but for growth. They encouraged her to compose. Her inspirations include famous writer Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan, as well as her affinity with Bjork's style. After her mother said that the songs she composed could be used to not be famous for her, however, but to encourage individuals to recognize the value of themselves and their impact to the world, she began singing them in public. The mother of her child suggested that she be able to perform her music publicly in order to help people realize their own importance and how they impact the world. It was not until she turned 14 when she shared her story with her parents. Aurora had no idea of being a famous singer. Aurora claims she loves composing songs. For her, the music she writes is how she feels about anything.
