Aurora

Aurora Aksnes, born June 15th, 1995 in Stavanger and known professionally as Aurora often stylized in uppercase as AURORA is an Norwegian singer and songwriter. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves has been released by Decca Records and was well welcomed by blogs about music. The singer has recorded two highly-profile cover songs Half the World Away by the band Oasis for a Christmas advertisement by John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. Katy Perry's endorsement of the song Runaway on her blog brought the singer additional recognition. Make it a day to celebrate her birthday. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memory is of finding a piano hidden in her attic then becoming enthralled by its sounds. Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents, May Britt Aksnes, and Jan Oystein Aksnes, encouraged their daughter to learn music as a passion rather than as a job. In the end, she began to write the music she composed herself. As well as Bjork She also cites Leonard Cohen as an influence. She began performing her music in public when her mom suggested they could help people not gain acclaim for her music, but rather to help the people around them understand their own importance and how they impact the world. She was suggested by her mother to be able to perform her music publicly in order in order to make people aware of the importance of their work and how they impact the world. She didn't tell her family about it until she turned fourteen. Aurora did not have a set goal. The singer says that she simply likes writing music. The music she writes is how she feels about everything.
