Angela Evelyn Bassett was born in the US. Angela Evelyn Bassett, an American actor. Bassett was raised in New York New York and raised by an aunt who lived in Winston-Salem North Carolina. Bassett along with her sister who were about five years old, emigrated from New York to St. Petersburg to live with the mother of their separated father. Bassett was at the age of high school when she watched James Earl Jones staring John Steinbeck production Of Mice and Men and knew that her dream of becoming an actor had been born. After graduating of Yale University New Haven Connecticut in the year 1980, she earned the Bachelor's degree with a major in African American Studies, she went on to earn a Master's Degree (1983) from the Yale School of Drama. She met Courtney B. Vance, another actress from Yale and they were married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. Bachelor of Arts (Afro-American Studies) in the year 1980. The Master of Fine Arts (Drama) from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett currently works in one of her lead characters, Ramonda, in the action-adventure movie i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
